It is physically impossible for me to not be the first person to think this. But has anyone actually given it thought. It is, i believe possible through genetic modification of a horse with a altered Narwhal gene to create what could be a Unicorn. If grown in early stages in a petri dish then put into a substitute womb we could have a Unicorn. We could not use a normal womb due to the horn piercing it and causing large internal damage or even death to its owner. So what do you think?

I think unicorns could certainly be created in a laboratory, but I'd splice rhino DNA rather than a narwhal.  It's probably easier to keep within the land-based quadruped family, right?  And I think the horn of either animal is small or blunt enough not to hurt the mother before birth or else they would have gone extinct a long time ago.  :)

Agreed, A Rhino would be a safer, potentially reproducible bet.
Better to create a race of unicorns than just a single one.
