probably been suggested before but allowing to leave your colony map and venture out and explore the planet that you left behind would make this game an all time classic

I dont really have much ideas on how to implement this and tbf really doubt that it will be but I say if it was to be implemented it should be optional for people with slower pc's

I'd also love to see this. Like in Minecraft - if you get to the edge of your tile, new surroundings get generated.

Long term: Trading with nearby tribes and vehicles to travel distances would be exciting. If there's a way to find the right obstacles to still make this very dangerous, this might change the core gameplay not too much – which would be appreciated. There's just this curiosity in my mind, I also want to find the sea nearby my crash site.

Very long term: what about this as a foundation of multiplayer? – some few people crashing on the same planet... needing months before they find/trade/raid each other.

I know this should be about stories, but this might also contribute to exciting stories. The need for food and shelter would make this a rather nearby adventure or at least force you to very slowly expand.

-> Just saw, this is in Frequent Suggestions Topic, sorry https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=12024.0
