Tribal Overhaul!

I've found the tribal run to be immensely difficult, I have completed the game 5-6 times now in several different biomes/conditions/difficulties/story tellers. However I find it near impossible to finish a tribal run without reloading saves at least 5-6 times a season unless I am going on the middle or second lowest difficulties. I have finished the game with Phoebe and Cassandra on extreme in the desert and ice sheet biomes with the crash landed and rich explorer begginings respectively (permadeath runs.) I find that tribal runs are incredibly slowly paced with advancements in technology which I am completely fine with, but the raids, diseases and sieges just don't match the progress you are making in regards to technology and colonists. I have lowered the difficult each attempt and there is just no balance whatsoever. The threat of a raid is either extreme or child's play between difficulties. To balance this better I think that you should be facing other tribes until enough time has passed for the player to have at least built somewhat reliable defenses. I had set up amazing killboxes in short periods of time only to be taken down because I faced two blights in the first season and a siege in the second. Perhaps set up the scaling of events to be much slower for the tribal run because facing a siege, poison ship or a well equipped group of pirates is too much for natives with sticks and stones, especially since by the point you are even facing this it is almost impossible to have even got reliable electricity up and running for the appliances you probably have not yet researched! The tribal run is just terrible, either speed up the research or slow down the scaling of events! I have tried tribal run about 10-15 times in the past couple weeks and have either found it near impossible at the two highest difficulties, and even at the middle difficulty it gets extremely hard once the sieges and poision ships start coming in. It honestly feels like unless you are INCREDIBLY lucky with the right conditions it is basically impossible to finish!! I love the idea of a tribal run but for the love of god please fix the scaling

you are right about the tribal moving slow
but i play on casandra extreme permadeath in a jugle(high risk high reward) and have played 2 times were i started over because every one chargegun and killbox, no more challage. but it was with savescumming not much only when i got big tribal raid in bigining or when someone got instakilled by infestation. i am doing it again without savescumming and so far so good lost someone already but i didn't realy care
did also one Casandra extreme normal in tundre (snow gives more time to prepare attack and no vegetation means no cover for enemy) got very big base and all research
the big advantage of tribal is that you can 'choose' 5 people, it takes a long long time but i have people with passion and good traits.
doing it with ok or good enough pawns is gona bite you in the ass
with 5 people you can do tactics while fighting! open close doors, let someone be the enemy target but hides before firing, flanking,..
there is always someone avaiable, they cant all break at once

tip: a sniper can do a lott agains siege and poison ship

Personally I think Tribals should stay in forested areas, then tame lots of things + grow lots of food.

Salvage guns when you can, and just live normally from there. Mechs will be tough to deal with but chances are you'll get a gun, and a small army of animals before then.

I think the best solution would be to have multiple people do different research topics at one time. It would eliminate the worse of the Tribal issues, and make the game faster in general.

Ahh man, I have struggled to make decent progression with tribals past the mid game point, it just seems like the event system is consistent with any starting scenario. I wish it was a little more tailored to the scenarios! I haven't tried having multiple people research yet because its difficult enough building and feeding hungry mouthes than to take another colonist off of that for research!
