So I have an idea that I would love to see as a mod. I want a way to improve on storage space, but I feel like mods that use quantum storage, 10x stack sizes, or crates stacking goods to 5k items are a little cheaty. Plus some of those aren't tribal friendly.

What I would like is a furniture item - Shelves. It's 1x3 in size and can be made of wood, stone, metal, etc. it has four shelves on it, and thus will hold 4x the normal stack size per square. However, pawns can't walk over shelves, so you will have to leave isles for them to walk down, or space to access the shelves. (Similar to how pawns can place items on the cooker, but not stand on it)

So imagining a 2x3 empty room for storage, would allow 6 stacks of items in it. The same room fitted with one shelf would allow 12 stacks of items in the same space, even if leaving the isle empty. If even this seems unbalanced, a more modest three shelf item could be used; allowing 9 stacks in the same space.

This would retain immersion while adding a viable way of increasing the efficiency of a warehouse, or walk in fridge, without making something way overpowered. It would also be usable with tribal starts, unlike some of the similar mods available. Perhaps the shelves could even have the options menu of a stockpile if selected; so you can assign whatever items you want stored on that shelf.
