The Future of Earlier Alpha Builds

Hello!

I've owned the game on Steam since A14 and I absolutely fell in love with the game as it was in A14, and the various mods I had access to, during that alpha. I tend to modify mods to suit my playstyle as well, which leads to a lot of time spent changing mods if I update to new versions of the game and mods. With that said, I'm keen on following development of the game in the current alpha (and future ones, of course), and so I've now also bought the game from Ludeon directly in order to play A16 without giving up A14.

My question lies with the availability of previous alphas through Steam's beta feature (as I understand you don't offer earlier drm-free alphas). Will previous alphas be available indefinitely? Are you planning on removing them once the game is released? I'd certainly understand if your intention is to remove it when the game is 'complete', I'd just like to know exactly what the plans are for previous alphas.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I've had a look around without success.

It would be interesting if a group of folks forked off and continued to support and mod a previous alpha, giving it a life of its own.
