Caravan food rot

It doesn't seem to matter what food i pack into the caravan, the max time the food will last until rot is around 3 days - this includes pemmican and packaged survival meals, which I believe should last more than a year and indefinitely for the latter?

The Rot time that shows up is the one from the closest food to rot. I had a few trips with only raw potatoes, but my colonist was with a simple meal in their inventory. It said "Food will rot in 1.8 days", and once it did, the potatoes did not rot, I managed to travel without starving.

A little confusing, probably it would be worth to add another "colum" after the items name with "Rot in" and individual rot times for each food/medicine/drug.

that would help, all i did was add packaged survival meal and it said 3 days so presumably its picking up meals they are already carrying on their person, after a little travelling it went from 3 days to 50+ days on the map so this would stack up.
