A17b - Mech ship takes no damage

Hi,

I experienced 3 bugs so far with the new A17b release (and runing my A17a save file).

1. I received a call from a trader, and when I go to the comms console to trade with him, the trader has no items to sell, and no siler to buy.
2. During my last infestation (the only one under A17b), two hives spawned with jelly but no insects went out. It was infestation free kill.
3. Even if the background option is on "On", my game doesn't keep playing when in background. I tried uncheck/check the option, it doesn't change anything.

I am only using Prepare Carfully as mod.

New bugs:
4. Poison ship crashed. No mechanoids go out of the ship. Cannot melee attack it. Can shoot at it, but the life of the ship doesn't go down.

Thank you for the bug report and save file.

Although it's very likely that these bugs you are reporting are caused by the Prepare Carefully mod, as the game was created with that mod in A17a (according to your OP), and you are loading the save in A17b. Plus a quick check of your save file (in a text editor) shows a lot of <li IsNull="True" /> errors caused by scenario parts put in by that mod.

I don't now if the problems can be can be solved by editing your save file, but if so then here is a post by Tynan (on reddit) that should be of help in that regard.

Edit - The 4th bug you reported is the same issue the person Tynan is responding to in the above link.

Also moving this to mod bugs as these are not vanilla game bugs. (if you can reproduce any of them in a new, vanilla A17b game, then please create a new thread for each bug in the bugs forum. Thanks)

I attacked the crashed ship part, tried melee and ranged, including mortar attacks, nothing would damage it / have any effect whatsoever

@ Hiddenlight - This is not a great bug report to be honest. A good idea whenever you are reporting a bug is to post your log file (as an attachment) along with it. (Details here https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=513.0) . And if you are reporting a mod bug then it's pretty much essential to list which mods you are using, as otherwise it's pretty unlikely that someone will be able to help you.

So if you still need help with this can you please provide the above information.

-Game started in A17a, Crash Landed, Cassandra Extreme; upgraded to A17b; Steam
-Started with Prepare Carefully mod but running unmodified at the time of the bug
-Psychic Ship event occurred, I sent my colonists out to deal with it, they shot the ship for several minutes but it never dropped below 1177 hp (98%). It also never spawned any mechanoids. I tried melee attacking it, but still no effect. Mood debuff remained active; poison circle remained active but did not expand after the hp froze.
-Reloaded a previous save, played for a few minutes, got a Poison Ship event instead. Same story. Froze at 1182 hp this time. Poison circle remained active but neither expanded nor shrunk after the hp froze.
-Replicating this bug: all I've tried is reloading my saves before the event, after the event, and during combat. The bug continued to occur in all instances.
-Attachments: save file during the poison ship event, before the bug itself occurred; output log from after the bug occurred. I also have the save file from before the psychic/poison ship events, but I can't attach it here due to file size restrictions.

@ CptSnuggles - That is a bug caused by the Prepare Carefully mod. I have checked your save file (thanks for including it) in a text editor and it has <li IsNull="True" /> lines near the top that seem to coincide with this error. I posted instructions on how you might be able to fix your save earlier in the thread (although please make sure you back up the save file first before editing it).

I have also moved your post to mod bugs (because this is not a vanilla bug), and merged it with the exiting thread on this issue.
