Eating low quality food because the nice food is reserved by someone else

When there are many colonists and only 1 stack of fine meals, while 1 person has reserved the fine meals the others will eat raw meat or whatever they find because they can't reserve the same stack of food.

This leads to a lot of problems and bad mood for the wrong reasons.

It happens only if it's reserved for hauling or other tasks. Pawns who want to eat the meal won't reserve it. I see how this could be problematic, but it's a rather complex issue. Currently pawns can't predict what's going to happen with a reserved thing (is it going to be destroyed, taken to inventory, or just hauled?). This system could be improved though, but it's not really a bug per se. Thanks for reporting.
