[0.18.1722] Rivers and Roads do not generate on planets

When generating new worlds, there are no visible rivers or roads. When loading worlds from previous versions - like the earlier testing versions of beta 18, the colony map still has a river in it, but the world map does not load rivers or roads, and the description of my colony's map tiles does not reflect there being a river cutting through it.

I have tried unsubscribing from every mod on the workshop, deleting all Rimworld files and folders off my computer and doing a fresh, modless, re-install and new planets continue to generate without rivers or roads.

The first screenshot is a new planet that I generated. The seed was 'struggle'. The second screenshot is the river the cuts through my colony map from a unstable beta 18 playthrough. The third screenshot is of the planet that does not show the river that runs through my colony. Finally I attached my logfile. Hopefully there's something useful in there.

A few users have reported this issue (in the support forum). The cause is outdated GPU drivers (your log file contains the save errors as theirs did). So please can you check for and update them.

(and a tip for the future in relation to all games. If you ever encounter any graphical problems, be they corrupted or in this case missing sprites/graphics, then always check that your GPU drivers are up to date first before resorting to reinstalling the game etc. As nine times out of ten it'll be a driver issue and not a game issue).

Thank you, updating my drivers fixed it. Sorry, I must have missed that topic in the support forum, I had been checking around to see if anyone else had been experiencing the same issue.

No worries, and happy to hear a driver update fixed the problem (which is also good from a troubleshooting perspective since it's reliably resolving this issue).

Moving this to support as well since it isn't a bug (plus it'll be easy for others having the same issue to find).
