If you change the bed (from prisoner use to colonist use) of the prisoner who is the target of a jail breaker mental break the event wont trigger.

Yes. But does your prisoner get fed? Have you waited long enough to see what your designated warden does? Does the prisoner get "Taken to bed" by the warden.
