Biggest unsupported roof

Anyone know what the biggest room you can make for an unsupported room (ie 10 x 10 squares)?

I searched but couldn't find an answer.

I think 9 is the maximum width...? Not sure. It's pretty easy to test. Just save the game, start building and load after you're done. You could basically build a room that's 9x500 tiles in size. Wouldn't collapse, assuming 9 is the magic number.

the largest area that I have had is 10 tiles wide and MOST(I left 13 tiles each side of the map as un-buildable) of the map width
