Imprisoned colonist keeps catharsis bonus after being released. Is this a bug?

One of my colonists with a stomach infection had a "sad wandering" mental break. To prevent him from dying, I had to arrest him so that he could receive treatment.

After he was treated, I released him from prison, and he still has his +40 mood bonus for catharsis, along with a -10 for "was imprisoned."

According to the wiki page on mental breaks, releasing an imprisoned colonist should remove the catharsis bonus and replace it with the "was imprisoned" penalty.

Is this a bug, or is there something I'm not understanding? This mechanic seems very exploitable, as I can apparently just arrest anybody having a break, then immediately release him to have a fully productive member again.

Yes, catharsis was gained because sad wandering ended. I think that much is clear.

My question was, why did catharsis not disappear after the imprisonment? According to the wiki, the catharsis +40 should go away after you imprison and release a colonist who had a mental break.

eh.. isn't catharsis have its duration like 2 days? I don't think being imprison have anything to do with it.

Might be missing some important details.  For example if pawn got out of sad wander just as you were about to arrest, it could influence outcome.  It's also possible that catharsis removal only applies to some forms of mental breaks.

Do you know how to read?
you have yet to specify the amount of time passed from the moment the sad wander ended (as you arrested him) until the time of posting.  Catharsis has a set duration.  So does imprisoned.  If you arrested the sad wanderer, then immediately released him, he will have both moodlets.  They will run their course normally.

Is it an exploit?  not really.  Why?  because arresting any pawn, mental break included, runs a high risk of causing berserk, causing damage and potentially death to the arrestee and arresters.
