Game Maintains Trader Name/Type

I've had this situation occur a couple of times where traders of the same name are different types. This might be WAD (the traders have different stocks available during different legs of the trip) however what seems more likely is that there is just a list of names that it randomly picks from and randomly determines a trader type resulting in potential duplicates.

I propose that trader name-type combinations can be maintained internally by the game so as you play long enough you'll see the same trader over and over again.

but pirates can kill traders no?

I only ever see maybe 7 or 8 trade ship names, and I think the game just picks one at random for each ship, as it shows up at your colony.  However, I've never seen two ships arriving at the same time with the same name.
