Giant UI on fresh install

I just picked up a copy and freshly installed earlier today, but when I went to launch for the first time my menu UI was so massive that the options menu extends off-screen, making fixing the UI scaling impossible. Changing the resolution/fullscreen doesn't seem to help. is there a launch option I can try or am I just missing something?

What happens if you click the 2x button and select 1x?

I think the only way to recover would be to modify Prefs.xml manually. I guess we should auto-recover from such situations. Added to todo, thanks.
