Dormant insects stop maintaining hive after hibernation.

I am a RimWorld player who likes to farm dormant insect hives that spawn in caves. They are especially useful in very cold biomes where little to no food grows. However, in such cold biomes when the insects go into hibernation they no longer maintain the hives once they wake up. From what I understand when they hibernate they get banished out of their own hidden faction that their hives are a part of, forcing them into becoming wild insects instead of dormant hive insects. For a variety of reasons I think this is just plain stupid and shouldn't happen, one because in a realistic situation they wouldn't suddenly forget that the hive is their home and two because I personally want them to stick around for as long as possible.

With that said, I have found two ways to circumvent this issue, one is with a mod that allows me to create custom hives using insect jelly, and the other is to use dev mode to just delete the wild insects and make the hive itself spawn more insects, all while making sure they're the same ones that get deleted for the sake of immersion. However, I don't spawn ones that die due to external factors, such as being hunted by animals or humanoids, or actually dying due to extreme temperatures before I'm able to secure their caves and protect them from the cold. Ideally I shouldn't have to use dev mode at all, and while I like the mod I'm using and will continue to use it, it requires certain tech to be researched, tech that will only be available for research long after all the hives are destroyed due to lack of maintenance.

I really hate how the dormant hive insects become wild after hibernation and ideally they shouldn't be banished from their faction to begin with. Is there a way to use dev mode to force them back into their proper "Some Geneline Insect" faction(name might be from a mod, but not sure)? If not, then I'll continue to use dev mode to force the hives to spawn the ones that I delete until an update comes around to prevent this silly scenario from happening.

Thanks for the feedback, I can definitely see the use of keeping insects tied to hives for people that like to husband insect hives.  I'll pass the suggestion along for review.
