[1.3] Game will not reopen when I tab out (fullscreen only)

When im fullscreen, and i have to tab out to another program on my pc (discoord, google, spotify) it will not let me tab back into rimworld. I click the tab on my task bar and it just flashes the game and will not open. This problem does not occur when the game is windowed. It only applies to rimworld, i have tested many other applications as well as steam games.
