nothing is happening

So I chose Random Randy on Rough difficulty.
and I have my colony on good amount of food and mediocre security. I have several mods downloaded, including a mod that adds more events. So far, there is only 1 event that happened.
I have the speed on max and its been running for an hour, and except for wild squirrel, there really is nothing going on. Iv'e even have the great war mod installed, so I was expecting a bunch of military showing up, but nope. nothing is happening.

I chose Random Randy because it increase the population cap, and the mod popcap+ is outdated.
anyone know whats going on? why am I not getting any events? I need more people, need more danger.. its booring.

events that happened so far:
-3 people crash landed, they said that they were being attacked by aliens. After a while, they turned into a large alien, so I had to fight 3 large aliens, it was difficult, but I managed.
-squirrels attack

Be wary of having so many mods that they are overwriting bits of each other and leaving less content than before.

If you've only had 3 events so far, then you're really early in the game. It takes time for stuff to happen. Be patient.

I've noticed that nothing seems to happen on maximum speed on Randy Random. I don't know if events are calculated differently on the different speeds.

Odd, It shouldn't be rare.

I remember getting like 3-9 events a week.

It was like oh its the daily Mechanoid Raid lets do the drill folks. (I never had issues with Mechs just sayin)

ok, I made a new colony with casandra? (the one that keeps adding events easy to difficult depending on your time.

So far, I am having difficult time, my graveyard is large, full of dead enemies and some dead allies.
2 of my colonist are permanently injured, and 3 of my prisoners died, 1 prisoner sent an army, some tried to kill each other, its difficult. Now I am having trouble dealing with another army that are camping and bombing my base. Not to mention that my land is almost out of metal.

so I think Random Randy is too easy, maybe it's a bug, maybe not.

the only thing good about Randy is his no pop-cap limit. Cass has better scaling of events.. it would be cool to breed the two AIs together and produce a "Casrandy" AI baby.

an AI that has no pop-cap and good event scaling.

Research Cremation and set up a Crematorium ASAP to deal with the influx of bodies. Set the Job to Forever and your colonists will start burning them bodies up. Or, if you have molotovs and/or grenades, pile the bodies up on a designated (cleared of all vegetation) stockpile and force attack the center.

As for besieging enemies, get some colonists with good shooting skillz and equip them with M24 Sniper Rifles. They can take pot shots at the raiders and the mortars while staying out of their detection zone. Keep some other guys stationed nearby when they eventually break and make for your base to mop them up.

Strange, I thought it was just me having the problem.. Running TTM with Randy, I'm at August, year one and I've had maybe 2 raids, but a whole lot of people falling from the skies, I was dissapointed too, considering the sizable defensive positions I had constructed.

Edit : Wait... is Randy still broken? I thought he was "fixed" for alpha 6, that's why I was using him opposed to Cassandra
