Could have sworn I saw they were buying up weapons, (for green values, yuck), so I invested heavily in snazzy silver maces worth oodles of silver.
Found out combat suppliers don't carry half as much silver as exotic goods traders, and then when an EGT pulled up he tells me he doesn't want my legendary works of lethal art.

What's the deal with that?
Don't tell me they only buy firearms of all things.

Utherix

Only combat supplier will buy the medieval weapons.

That don't make no sense.

1. Why would combat traders want atlatls?
2. Why in the world would exotic goods traders prefer tasteless mass-produced, machine-pressed firearms to artisan melee weapons of exceptional craftsmanship?!

Well fine you space-snobs, you can't have my 32k$ plasteel longsword, nor my legendary golden mace. Pearls before swine!

(It really sucks because that would've been the best way to get more GOOOOLLLDD- trading in big-ticket items for equally big-ticket materials...)

Well, they will buy bows.
Lotta good that does though- bows can't get craftsmanship modifiers.

Utherix

It sort of an oversight/bug that will be fixed probably. Also the absurdly high value of those items is already fixed for Alpha 9 I believe.

Ha, so long as one can still turn a decent profit by producing finished goods, I'll be happy.
Is the mark-down taken into consideration for silver weapons? (1500k goes in, resulting weapon should be worth at least 3000k to compensate)

I really need to invest more heavily into crafting weapons and clothes, it seems like it's the best way to make money now. It seems like it's hard to get enough resources to be sustainable though
