Suggestions for name after rejection?

So I bought the 40 pack intending to somehow put my friend's well loved and long running DnD character's name in, as I figured it wasn't super outlandish and fit with a Firefly theme pretty well (and there are some pretty wacky names in Firefly). It's a gift as he really loves this game and is having a kid soon, so a little gaming kid to go with it, right? However, it's been rejected and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it. The DnD character's name was Handsome Dave, which would work well as a nickname on it's own thematically, but is too long for the text box.

So I tried making his first and last Handsome and Dave and it was rejected. I then tried Dave "Handsome" (lastnameoffriend), and it was rejected. So I'm trying to figure out why that's not okay but nicknames like Medusa are, or what I can do to get this working.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Or can someone reconsider?
Game is fantastic by the way. Been telling everyone I know to buy it.

Well trying again as Robert "Handsome" Dave, which doesn't seem unreasonable. So we'll see!
