Colonist scumming or take what you get?

same as above i use prepare carefully or reroll. There is no point in playing when all 3 of your colonist end up as No hauling or no violence etc. Hell one time i ended with 3 pacifist who refused manual labour...

I sometimes use Prepare Carefully, but find that rerolling is a better option for me if I want to be picky. With full discretion I invariably end up min-maxing, which detracts from the game in my view.

I also play a fair number of games where I take what I get. It often is far from ideal, but still makes for an interesting, challenging and unique experience.
