Massive FPS drop

So I recently started a new world, alpha 9c. I've been playing for about 30 minutes now and I have noticed frequent massive drops in fps. I'm used to this kind of thing because my laptop sucks, but Rimworld has never had a problem with it before. I only have 4 colonists, and my base is anything but large, so I don't see where the problem could be coming from. Thanks for the advice, and sorry if i'm in the wrong section or anything!

Were you doing something specific, or did anything happened in game when the FPS dropped?
Have you tried creating another colony to see if this still happens?

Could you please upload the world and savegame files so we can take a look?

That happened to me too, I think it was because of weather change from dry to rain.

I'll try to reproduce it.

I don't actually know how to do that, sorry. If you give me step-by-step instructions, though, I probably could.
