There is a problem with raider's items becoming automatically unforbidden. If I take my eyes off colonists only for a second then there they are... Going for this few simple meals with a stubbornness of psycho and dying one by one like lemmings... How are you dealing with it? My only idea was locking those idiots up inside the base during raids and after raid searching map for this damn item.

Uncheck all hauling until all fighting is done.

No more suicide hauling runs.

Of course, this sounds like it might be a bug, cos in A8 I saw that pretty much everything that was dropped on the ground was immediately marked as forbidden, unless it was mined or deconstructed.

I thought about unchecking hauling but I don't want to stop hauling inside of the colony. After attack I could let them haul again but... My colony is ALWAYS under attack :P. I'm playing with communication relay (mod) which has a chance to spawn attack or trader. With 6 relays working there is no such a thing as peaceful time on my map.
As long raid/siege lasts their food and steel is forbidden but when I weep out this attackers supplies automatically become unforbidden and slaughter of idiots begins :/. After many attacks there are a lot of trash left on the map and it's hard to see which one are forbidden/unforbidden.
I've even changed flammability of steel and meals and tried to "purify" map with mortars and (holy) fire :D. But rain is a bitch...

This my friend, is outright ludicrous. Ergo, I like it and would love a screenshot of the aforementioned colonypocalypse by (holy) fire.

That's the work of a mod -- i think it only happens in the home zone so de-zone the killbox, or disable the mod.

Nope. It happens far far far away from home zone. Basically that's why I don't want to waste time to haul this stuff. Moving through tropical rainforest is so slow that it would take forever to clean map. Colonists walks across the whole map (under the fire of riders) just to "feed prisoner with fine meal"...
We have lavish meals in fridge? Who cares if there is a simple one 90km away :P?
By the way: Sorry for bad english.

Yeah I think I know what you mean. Those meals get dropped right on the edge of the zone right?
I don't think it's because a raider/visitor died there, it's because they tried to eat there and something went wrong. I'm not really sure why it happens, but my personal theory is that it has something to do with the way pawns constantly pick up and drop food when they are trying to find a table to eat at.
