I am not sure if this was already brought up but what i would love is if we could choose the size of garbage dumps. I like to use them as sand bags and as an area that the enemy needs to navigate to get into my base, but at the moment it gets kinda tricky when i want to make them less then 4x4.

its tricky but possible,

drop the dump and when its full you sell the dump. You then create a new dump and haul out the parts you don't want. Using this method you can get any shape you like.

Ideally id like a dump zone to be controlled like a home zone, and remove the ability to put corpses in it.

This might happen with the re-implementation of stockpiling, with true stockpiles

This is how i currently do it, but i would love it if it happened when stockpiles are implemented.

If anything I think Tynan will aim at removing the possibility to use rubble as cheap, mobile sandbags :P

I will continue to use it until that point!
But the writing seems to be on the wall, he did say he wanted to steer the game away from being a tower defence game towards more of a colony management aspect.
Big changes need to be made for that, this being one of them

Galileus

I believe his intention is to remove tower defence but not in favour of colony management (that should stau at close priority to combat, if not higher) but in favour of more head-on combat. So less waffle-bunkers and mobile sandbags, more sweat and blood ;)
