Not sure how many people are interested in creating texture packs - I've only messed around with it to see if it was possible.
The best bet would likely be to wait until Tynan adds official support, but that could take months.

For those of you wanting to get a head start, you can read the guide in this forum for more info.
In the mean-time, I'll post any WIP and completed texture packs here.

Installation is as follows:
Browse to your RimWorld###Win_Data directory.
Rename the file resources.assets to resources.orig.assets (Backup, just in case)
Copy your downloaded texture pack into the same directory and rename it to resources.assets
Play your game!  Simple, right?

A Brighter Rimworld - by Rhodes (Completed - Was a test run to see if texturing was possible)

RimCraft - A Minecraft Texture Pack - by Rhodes (WIP - Oh, come on!  It was bound to happen..)

  • Screenshot - Still missing a lot of content. I may or may not finish this one entirely.

I honestly have no experience with macs - so I'm not sure where to even begin to explain the steps required.  Sorry.

Go to your rimworld application, right click, click 'Show Package Contents', click on the 'Contents' folder, then click on the 'Data' folder. You should see the resource.assets file.

EDIT: Also, if anyone could make a texture pack that makes the nutrient dispenser look like an actual machine instead of a green blob, I would love you forever.

Thank you very much good sir.

Nifty, thanks Rhodes!

Now someone make it look like Dwarf Fortress just for shits and giggles.

lol, Gave an attempt at altering the textures. But my current designs kinda don't fit into the images borders. ^^;

Might have to wait for a while for some kind of TP support, or just alter my idea.

I cant seem to get it to work, just loads up a black screen with my cursor on it.  And when i try to make my own textures, half of them dont even work.

And why is it so big?! When I built it for the first time I swore I'd made a mistake. For a machine that simply dispenses paste it's awfully large xD.

failtolawl

how did you save the tables and solar panels? I believe the alpha (invisible black background) texture is messing up my saving so it doesn't actually change.
