I have marked several prisoners for release, but my wardens just escort them outside my base and take them right back inside again. They go back and forth like this forever. I now have over 10 prisoners, which is killing my food and bed-situation and im afraid of debuffs from killing/selling at this point

Strange, I don't have this problem. Are you using any mods?
Further a saved game+world file would help.

You can set them not to receive food, I don't think it will lead to a debuff if they starve to death.

Are said prisoners capable of moving themselves? (ie. do they have legs?)

This might be bad but if you really want to get rid of them, you could just shoot them. (as a last resort) but yeah, check if they have both legs if not make a prisoner bed into a prisoner medical bed and give him a peg leg. (like what he said above)

You can draft the warden when the prisoner is outside. If the prisoner falls down then they're not capable of walking.

Yes, im using mods. None that should influence it however. Im using the industrialization, EdBinterface and the expanded Prosthetics mods.
There are no health-issues that should affect the situation, they are all capable of walking

This looks like a mod related issue, I have never encountered problems releasing prisoners. You may want to look in the mod's threads if someone is having a similar problem, update your mods and maybe report the issue to the mod author.
