I predict post #9000 is made (by Tynan!) on 3/31/2018.

Math:
3473 posts in 424 days (3/28/2015 - 5/25/2016).  That's just over 8 posts per day.  We've got 5527 posts to go, and if the posting rate stays the same, that will take another ~675 days to get there, which is 3/31/2018.  And I'm guessing Tynan wants to be post #9000 just to mess with us.  (At least, I would if I were him.)

And after +3000 posts, we've got a pretty decent average. There have been speed ups and slow downs in the past too. Unless the character of this thread fundamentally changes, it'll likely be pretty close to what I posted earlier. That's how statistics works.
