I was quite surprised, that I couldn't find it anywhere on the forum, becasue it could fit nicely into the game about group of people trying to survive on a wasteland. I have some ideas that could make game more exciting:
a) Relations
- Adds "Social Relations" tab next to the "Health" button for every colonist.
- There are listed relations between a chosen colonist and other people ranked for 100 (best friends/lover) to -100 (most hated rival)
- There are two types of positive relations, friendship and love
- Colonist with good relations will buff eachother when they are in the same room. When one of them dies or gets injured they will get sad. Treating and helping their friends will make them happier.
- Enemies will get nervous around eachother and eventually fight, none of them can be controlled when they fight. You need a third person with high social or melee skill to calm them.
- Relations can be improved by talking or fighting with a common foe (i.e. mechanoids). Even if worst enemies can become friends when they team up in extremal situations for example when one is laying in near-death state and the other one rescues him or or kills a foe, attacking him (epecially melee attacking).
- People with simlar interests/skills/backstories will improve relations quicker
- Relations will decay when they don't help eachother or don't talk, in case of enemies not talking can make them more neutral and less rivaly.
b) A leader
- In colonies there would often be a "leader", that would have increased relations by default with all colonist.
- First leader would most likely be one of the first three colonists and with highest skills. Leader gives morale and health boost to allies around him
- Next leader will propably be previous leader's best friend, or someone with the best skills and relations with others.
c) Kidnapped colonists
- When one of your colonists gets kidnapped by a hostile faction there's high chance, that you can see him in future raids.
- He will have morale debuff and instead of fleeing form the battlefiel he will most likely surrender.
- Your former colonist and current one will try not to kill eachother and when they do they will try to deal minimal amout of damage.
- Your former colonist will get shocked, without dying easier
d) relations with pawns from other factions.
- Your colonists will develop with people from other factions in the same way they do it between themselves.
- Guests with friends in your colony will visit you more frequently.
- When someone from other faction is in love with your colonist, it can result in your colonist leaving your group or one of them joining you, they propably won't mind if you're an ally with them

That's all

Why is nobody posting?

(In my opinion:)

1. You posted a wall of text with little formatting.
2. You included too many suggestions in one thread, and you're being too specific/detailed with the suggestions at that. We don't have a social system to start with, for example, so all of these little details you'd like to see (that would each be full suggestions in themselves if we had a social system) don't give us anything to talk about at this point since we don't know what the base nature of a social system in Rimworld would look like. Faction relations and events (kidnapped colonists) are completely different from the former and don't really belong in the same thread.
3. All of your suggestions have been suggested before many times in various forms. After awhile people tend to lose interest.

Basically, there's not much to say to your specific ideas at this point; the general ideas (social system, better faction relations, kidnapping events) have already been discussed before; and the post isn't formatted well to boot.

To make this constructive, I would recommend breaking apart your ideas into separate threads and/or using the search function, in case what you're suggesting was already suggested recently.

(Also, why is it assumed that someone must respond to a thread? Threads get ignored all the time.)
