World Map:
--------------------------
Laying siege to AI bases where you can loot captives and resources.  These could work as marches on a map.  You send 'x' number of people, and they have to take so much food and medical supplies, and you have to wait a certain amount of days for your party to reach the destination, and then a few days for it to make it back, based on how long of a trip it is.

The ability to take  your citizens and supplies to a new tile on the map.

The ability to send off colonists to found a new colony you don't control that serves as an ally for trade and military purposes.  A fun mini-game would be to find ways to encourage growth of your sister colonies.

Colony:
-------------------------

Non-Lethal weaponry.

Obviously some way would have to be found to clear out the less wanted colonists, such as the idea above, because this would make acquisition too easy, and if implemented, should be buried in heavy research and be  expensive.

Cybernetic corpse reanimation

Reanimating the death as cybernetic monstrosities that will do nothing but haul.

Hoverbikes

Crafting table will allow people to make "hover bikes" that can be equipped and only used outdoors for a massive speed boost.

Fire Suppression Equipment

It's too chaotic when your entire colony goes to put out fires.  Research to give equipment to a few to do it much faster would make it much more streamline in my opinion.

Evil:

Medical experimentation on prisoners to increase medical skill.  Some surgeries could be listed only to doctors of a certain level, and only unlock once they've gotten it by chance from "medical experimentation."  Some of these could include:

Memory wipe
Labotomy (w/ or without cybernetic implants)
Brain Surgery

Torture as a means of forcing them to join.  Extreme heat, extreme cold, torture tools, would improve the recruiting process with the stubborn types.

Will edit as I think of more at later times.
