For flu, try a cock. If that doesn't work, try boobmilk. Nice.

Boboid

Many heaters. It'll always take a while to warm up though so pre-heat your oven.
A steam geyser can help in that respect, free consistent heating.

Double or triple thickness walls/doors will help keep the heat in.
A prison yard is certainly a slightly more elegant solution to Cabin Fever than mine...

I just chop their legs off... legless prisoners don't suffer cabin fever

OH! SO DOUBLE WALL IT! I HAD LIKE 100 HEATERS IT NEVER WORKED!

Venting your freezer A/C into a double walled room makes it nice and hot on its own.  Then add heaters.

Also, the smaller the room, the easier to heat up...

keylocke

oh, wait.. i haven't tried the new ventilation system for this..

now might be a great time to test out new heat-based traps.  ;D

billycop32

and this ladies, gentlemen, and aliens, is why this game can be so twisted sometimes XD

I used the opposite on some mechs. -400 F
muhahahahahahahahahah

keylocke

wait, mechs are affected by cold now?  :o

Rahjital

Every single pawn is affected by both and cold. Mechs have the highest tolerance, from -100C to 250C if I remember right. The real question is, what crazy thing did Billycop build to freeze mechanoids to death?

hyperpeople

but how do you get raiders to go in a room without destroying the door and keep the heat inside?

Its really weird to hear of a colony that isn't run like Auschwitz and selling human leather for a living.

Rahjital

You could seal them in with a wall, I think...

Ketzal

They can attack walls.  You can "seal" them into a maze with plenty of sandbags to slow them down.  Just double wall & door the whole thing.  By the time they make it to the door(s) they will be melting.

billycop32

what I did was build a large sealed room around the crashed ship part with very thick walls. I then connected that room to several smaller ones via vents to rooms walled completely by coolers.
