i thought mortars don't use the shooting skill? also, how did you power all of your coolers? what biome are you in?

it seems like too much hassle just to kill an evil spaceship. any number of my cyborg snipers can usually finish that job more quickly. since they can easily outrange the scythers and those mechs won't go too far away from their mech ship.

but late-game mech drop raids tend to be most annoying for me. i don't like it when my turret babies get murdered. so i tried making a cold trap, but i can't seem to get enough juice to power my coolers.

meanwhile, burning stuff and setting up a heat trap seems easier, but i don't wanna end up burning my loot in the process. hrrmm...

I think it's more of a "just because" thing to do, like dropping a mountain on raiders. You do it because it's cool, not because it's practial :P

steam geysers all caped, 2 wind farms and 3 solar arrays ( they were all already built before I had the idea. use master switch to turn off all doors in the colony saving boco energy and turn off environmental controls for prisoners helps as well. XD I used my main A10 colony which you can find in the bug report area for download.
KEY NOTE: it takes them forever to actually die but not that long to go down. once they are all down set their operations to shut down and have a team of peeps ready to go in and take them offline quickly. DON"T SHUT THE COOLERS OFF. <_> rest in peace tyran. wwwwhhhhyyy
