Hi I’m pretty excited about the modding community that’s around here, and I’m wondering if it might be possible to make something that I haven’t seen yet. I’ve recently begun getting irritated by making a hole in my base’s power lines to make room for conduits so I can control turret lines from inside, I often make little offshoot defenses and the lines can get crazy.

What I'd really like to see is some insulated conduits, that can cross each other and not effect each other, just 3 or 4 colors, with the normal conduits still in of course, I think it would improve the power system a lot.

Then you could have a switch room and a central power line that runs through your base with your turret's switches etc. being in the middle of your base. You could also avoid the really messy lines running around all over the place if your the type to have multiple lines.

If for some reason stacking the conduits isn't possible you might make a more advanced kind of switch, still using the color scheme along with the colored lines, but instead of having the ability to cross lines you could use uninsulated lines up until it hit your turrets' power line and at your base have one switch that's interface would look something like
blue/green/red/yellow/clear all
While it wouldn't be wireless, because it needs to be attached to your lines, it would turn on the blue lines when you hit it from the safety of home.

I guess it would really be a bit more like an extremely basic terminal than a switch, but still :P.

I feel like cloth, or synthread if your feeling mean, would probably be just fine for the material for the insulation. It might even remove the -1 beauty penalty from it too as it's now covered in cloth.

Thanks to anyone that has taken the time to read this and maybe even take up the challenge.
PS If you know of anything like this let me know please :)
