i started playing out this gem (it's a bit too early in the alpha) but i just saw this fairly new update.

pros :
-it's got this really cool liquid system that makes rains and flooding a real issue.
-it has this build/explore during the day and defend your base at night similar, similar to survive the nights.
-it has buildings with structural integrity, which needs proper support or it will crumble.

cons :
-it's very arcadey. it doesn't really focus much on the survival aspect. you don't get hungry or thirsty. so the survival "simulation" aspect of the game is very shallow. it plays like tower defense.
-the day/night enemy siege cycle is detrimental to exploration and actually keeping a base. for most parts, when it's nearing night and i'm too far from base, i just make temporary camps by digging a cave and setting up turrets. problem is that it seems to be effective enough that making a base becomes unnecessary once you start playing like a nomad.

-------------------------------------------------

anyways, i'm enjoying the game but i'm still on a lookout for a similar game but more focused on survival aspects. i'd also like it if it has recruitable NPCs so i can build a base like terraria.

looking for games with these features :
-hunger/thirst/tiredness/hygiene/injuries (basically rimworld features)
-water dynamics and structural integrity similar to dig or die.
-recruitable NPCs like terraria.

anyone got any suggestions?

Hmm... I don't know if game like this even exist.

The Closest thing I can think of is Starbound. It doesn't cover everything you are looking for but it's worthing taking a look at. It's like Terraria but you can change planets.

Hope this helps  :)

Hi, check out http://www.unlok.ca/wayward/

It's survival with crafting/building and thirst and hunger etc.

Plays right in your browser too.

Shall I recommend Slaves to Armok: God of Blood Chapter II: Dwarf Fortress
It have all of these features
-hunger/thirst/tiredness/hygiene/injuries (basically rimworld features) AND mental sickness and moods
-water dynamics and structural integrity similar to dig or die. a dynamic eco system and flexible agriculture options
-NPCs.
- The most epic character description ever

- Terraria with the Survival Mod?
no thirst or hygiene though it requires you the eat and farm abit more as well as rest in houses as you do lose your regen health abilities.
- Star bound is kindof Terraria but, with planets and exploration. No idea what mods are available
- Darkout looks awesome though has been abandon by devs.
- Unclaimed world, is lesser than Rimworld though kindof sounds like what you'd like.

Ahh.... Early access.... So many cool games get abondoned, because early access is so popular... I would like to never play in Rimworld for all this time, but get full game earlier and be sure that that i didn't put my cash in the trash can.

Starbound for example - great game, but devs said today that they will make xbox version. Game is in develop like for 3 years or more (i couldn't find much info about start of Starbound) and game is boring. Everything works like that - man collect ores -> man craft armor (tier) -> man kill boss -> man get new technology -> man can explore new planet now -> man collect ores from new planet -> man kill boss, and that's it! Everything works like that for the last tier.

I though Unclaimed world is dead?
say it isn't so. :"(

Steam lists the latest update as less than a week ago, so I don't think it is dead yet.
