I have not played any of alpha 10 (i know, right?). I haven't even downloaded it. And now i'm starting to get a hankering for rimworld.

However, based on the changelog, it looks like alpha 11 should come fairly soon, So i'm torn. Should i download a10 and play it now, or just wait a couple days and play a11?

Plz help me decide :)
On the right path, but the wrong medication.

I like how there's a thing that displays how long you've logged in to the forums. It shows just how many hours you've spent here, never to get back...

At that point, wait.
You'll avoid having a colony incompatible with the new change.

You can always run "quick" colony w/o mods on hard biome (desert etc) on extreme ;D

Hey Quasar, so this update is more of a "let's fix things" instead of a "let's add things" so if you're looking to entertain yourself for a day might I suggest playing now but with mods and then in a few weeks when RW is updated as are all the mods you give it another go?

Just a thought.
Ugh... I have SO MANY MESSES TO CLEAN UP. Oh also I slap people around who work on mods <3

Not Sure it will be a few weeks. Just before a version release the patch notes tends to get a bit boring with lots of "Miss Bug Fixes" entries. As we've been seeing recently.

That was more along the lines of the update will come out probably next week followed by the week or two for mods to catch up. I love RimWorld, but it's dull without mods. <3 Little biased.

If you like mods, just play 10 for now. Tynan's been changing stuff around in the guts of Rimworld that breaks mods, so it'll likely take a while for any of them to get up and running on 11.

If you're a vanilla player, then yeah, just don't get into any long-term scenarios. Or maintain an a10 and an a11 game separately.

The time before an upcoming release is a time of indecision for modders too. Should I add this thing, or wait and see if it works in A11? That sort of thing.

The sappers seem like a huge addition here.

A11 won't be released in the next week.

It's the week after isn't it. :D
