Herbivores, like a hare, won't eat raw meat, but it will eat a prepared meal that is made (partially or entirely) with meat.
Expect that herbivores don't eat meat even if it's cooked with a bit of garnish on it.

but a pet rabbit will eat canned cat food, which has meat in it. At least mine does and he eats it first if given an option.

Just based on the above and on how micro this bug is and how tricky it'd be to fix, I'm not realistically going to address it. Thanks for reporting though! Better to report too much than too little.
