Prisons becoming an Area

Now that Areas are implemented, I believe that prisons should become an Area instead of being defined by a room with a bed. I'd like my prisoners to be able to have separate bedrooms and a communal social-type area with a nutrient paste dispenser.

Sounds like a very good idea to me.

+1 many times over. This sounds like a perfect progression.

Only downside I can see, is assigning prison by bed is easy. Areas are not as obvious. And beds define prison occupancy, while an area would not.
I would like to be able to have a prison with no beds in it, but I also want my colonists to be smart about how many prisoners they put in each prison.
So, the plot thickens.
With a new prison area system, questions come up like - how is the capacity determined? If you want one per cell but a common dining area, how do you designate that?

Edit: Further consideration.
I'm an Electrical and Electronic Engineering student in university in New Zealand.

I like games, but unfortunately they don't help me get a degree.. so I'm going to be inactive for awhile.

I bet areas are to vague. I bet its a lot harder to make the pawns understand what to do with two prison areas, then it is to be able to do with two prison beds.

Like lets say you have a one tile prison area, and enclosed prison area, and the pawns deliver the prisoner to the one tile open prison area? How do you define that to be wrong?

The mod isn't being maintained, not since Alpha 9.
