On every game i play, RR often rush me with multiple raids one after another, sometimes even on second day, but then i have no attacks from 2 weeks to one month, exept few animal attacks that don't even touch my colonists i don't really have what to fight against after building base for 30 colonists and filling whole map with smooth stone/metal plate...
Is it normal to Randy?

If yes then id like to see new, more aggresive random storyteller, that won't wait with raids longer than week.

Hah Randy Random is... random, right? (http://dilbert.com/strips/comic/2001-10-25/ :D) So just enjoy the thrill and maybe there will be a massive raid sometime? ;)

Well, it still would be cool if there would be AI storyteller like random with more raids for people that love RimWorld battles.

I also started a game with Randy Random and expected a lot more challenge. Instead, it was the easiest the game has ever been for me, dropping tons of free metal and food and having free people walk by without any sign of raiders for a pretty long period. I suppose that's what you get with randomization, but I was expecting "random" to be give me a little of everything. I got bored very quickly and went back to Tough Kassandra.

I think labeling him Randy Random might be misleading; he seems more fickle than random. Is he truly random, or does he just oscillate randomly over time in how prepared he thinks you are? (Leading to periods of similar activity.) If that's the case, I think he should be tweaked, possibly renamed, and there should be a "disable AI storyteller" option which causes all events to be equally likely and random in severity. If he is truly random, maybe he needs to be adjusted to create wildly unpredictable events intentionally rather than true randomization, though true randomization should be an option.

I like Randy as is, but do see room for a more aggressive variant. I've been thinking it would also be nice for a "Bipolar Betty", as it were - a story teller that would consist of unpredictably long periods of calm, and sudden, alternating mood swings of generosity or destruction. If your luck suddenly turns to hell in a hand basket, you would know the chance to recover will follow - if you survived. But also if a period of calm was broken by a lot of sudden good luck, you would know the worst is likely to soon follow.

The Randy Random I just played was a nightmare!! On day 4 or thereabouts a horde of Boomrats stormed into my small outpost and killed one chap blowing most of the place apart. I had just got the fires out when all electrical equipment died for 24 hours. I had had lots of fires and walls shorting all the time as well during the first few days. Then a couple of hours into the period of no electrics 8 raiders armed to the teeth turned up in two drops an hour apart and mashed the place in seconds just as both my remaining settlers went on the rampage from mental stress: I only had comms from 2 slavers and a farm ship with 2 drops of metal at the far edge of the map in that time and one traveller who exited the map seconds after getting the notice of arrival. Just impossible  ;D

I very frequently get assaulted by multi-raid parties.  I just wish that they'd attack each other once in a while, instead of attacking only my colonists.  I've resorted to standard waffling techniques just to survive combo attacks.

Last time I played I had 80 raiders on the map at once with randy random. It was a nightmare, thankfully randy gives explosives to about 1 in every 40 raiders.

I wish i had such battle, usually there are few mad guys charging at my R4/M16/Einfield spam from bunkers
