From the changelog:

Three new things, what do they do? They sound like the sorts of things that would be stationary and have a positive effect on workers and tasks done within an area/room around them. Say, like, an Area of Effect building.

I don't know about the first one, but the 2nd seems like we're getting a tools rack now which might hold multiple weapons instead of the gun racks 2 for 2 spaces, and 3 seems like something you'd hook up to a medical bed to monitor the sick and damaged for you. I don't know where you got an area of effect positive mood thing, doesn't sound like the names.

Area of effect building is also the first thing I though about, I hope its that.

I wonder if the area of effect will be limited to structures that you build, and improvements to skill, or if other items and values can be affected, such as blood/dirt increasing infection rate.

I've been thinking about that. Current idea is to have doctors treat tame animals, or animals you rescued to a bed. Whether actual operations will be allowed is something I'll have to consider later.

That said the idea of cybernetic attack wargs sounds cool.

Dear god are you telling me there's a chance in the future we'll have to protect our colony by shooting down bionic puppies trying to eat our flesh?

If we could then recruit the bionic puppies to eat the flesh of our enemies, surviving an attack like that would be well worth the trouble.
Some sort of psychic wave has swept over the landscape. Your colonists are okay, but...
It seems many of the scythers in the area have been driven insane.
