Rocket Launcher Trolls

AI faction sometimes invades your colony with having 1 or couple of them with rocket launchers which is really annoying, really too much OP and unrealistic

they fire rockets like its a machine gun and mess up my entire defense easily killing most of my colonists, blowing most of my turrets and destroying walls with not much effort at all

at least make the rocket launchers fire 1 rocket then have a big reload delay instead of just firing like a machine gun

its way to much OP and its really annoying

The triple rocket launcher and the doomsday launcher only have 1 shot then they disappear. I don't understand your problem?

problem is they have same (or even more?) range than sniper rifle and can shoot through some objects when used by IA (maybe this is a bug tho)

if i see a pawn spawn with a rocket launcher i try to get a colonist out to tempt them to waste their shot early. If you keep at long range and have a fast colonist they probably* will miss

*: Probably does not mean definatly. Omega Corp takes no responsibility for bad luck following my bad advice. We do however guarantee pawns fired on in this manner will prevent rocket attacks against your prepared defences.

I don't think it's OP.

Your tactic of holding out in your base just doesn't work here.

Try taking them out with snipers or hiding pawns behind buildings and rocks then ambush them.
That's what I usually do and usually it works out for me. YOUR ROCKETS ARE MINE NOW.

Although I can see how offense won't work if the raid has you greatly outnumbered. Better to make fallback rooms if so.

I love it when I see an incoming raid with rocket launchers.... send out the sniper crew, and target that person, I need that rocket launcher to destroy the evil ship. They are far from over powered, since they are a one use item.

Yes rocket launchers fire three shots at ONE point, in quick succession. That is what they are designed to do. Will mess up a turret defense quickly. Again, what they are designed to do.

Just another obstacle to overcome, see as a challenge to overcome, and turn into an advantage.

If the game did not present these obstacles, the replayability would diminish.

There is a trick to deal with triple rocket launcher (I don't know how doomsday works). Get a colonist who doesn't have movement disabilities. You may want to put a personal shield on him. Lure the dude with rocket launcher to shoot you! As soon as you hear the launcher sound, press space to pause. Move the colonist away. This works because at long range the rockets don't move fast enough. By the time they hit, the colonist is quite a bit away.
