Colonists won't tame animals

My colonists won't tame animals, to test it, I locked them all in a room with an animal designated for taming and I constantly had the "3 colonists idle" notification..

Can you post what type of animal you were trying to tame? Alone with what type of food, and what your highest handling skill level is?

You need food to tame animals?

Colonists will only try to tame an animal once per day.

A male rabbit, a female rabbit, and a male tortoise. I didn't even know I had to use food to tame. That might be it

Yes, Raw food is essential to taming, If you click on an animal and go into their information screen ( the little white i button) You can find what type off food they eat.
