I think lighting is a bit of a large scale problem because if it hits your main power line it could take out a large chunk of power not including colonist burning so i think they should take 250-300 metal easily destroyed and have the ability to generate large amounts of power, i also think it should be unlocked by  research, you would also have to have batterys within 10 tiles even though this isnt possible in IRL it would add that realist feel a bit more
