Not worth the effort, IMO.
You'd need isolated pens for each boomrat, everything would need to be fireproof, I wouldnt even want to let them into contact with one another for breeding. If one goes up, the other one goes up, heat skyrockets, dumb colonist runs in to extinguish the fire, catches on fire, runs outside, catches your base on fire... Boomrat farms are tough.
