I've been playing v12 for many hours and I have yet to see any Yorkies for sale.  I started a game with one spawned, so I know they exist, but it seems like I should have seen one for sale by now, across dozens (if not a hundred) merchant inventories.

I saw them for sale at least one time, so this must be just a bad luck for you.

sofar in my current 12c game, I have not seen ANY animals in trader inventories

One full year and the only dog-type I've seen for sale is a single warg.

I've definitely bought them in the most recent version.
