Deer/ewe wont breed

Chickens breed like crazy though, for weeks after selling them all off I still kept finding newly hatched chickens.
Bloody pests.

After a while i though i had them all but after a raid i found dead chicks all over the battle ground. Maybe I should spend more time looking at the actual screen instead of constantly browsing stats n stuff.
