[IDEA] - Insulated Walls

Research Insulated walls only after you have researched Carpet. This would allow you to build insulated walls Using

Research Cost: 1800 - 2500

10-15 Cloth,
5-10 (X)

X being the material you want to make the wall from.

Insulated walls keep in heat/cold, or drastically reduce the speed of reduction. This would make it to where if there is a power failure solar flare, heat wave, etc...  That if you have paid the cost for making them you could keep your food nice and fresh or you colonist nice and cool.

If you decided to use the drastically reduced speed option, you could have different materials have different insulation efficiency between 20-100% 20% being the lowest, 100% being complete insulation (no loss of temperature)

I think it's a neat idea

Kind of like how rooms are set up now but have it be a property the more of the walls that are that type the more insulated the room becomes, could even add economy style cooling then, so the coolers turn off when the room is at a stable temperature and when it falls X amount they turn back on would help with power consumption a lot.
