Change ambient map temperature

Is there any way to play with the ambient temperatures of maps? I wanted to try out a map that was 1000+ degrees outside sometimes, or an event that made it -200 with a day's warning.

Hey, There was a real extreme temperature mod somewhere, made events like cold snap or heat wave but instead they were something stupendously high or low, like 200+ above or below zero.
