Looking around me now I can see lots of everyday essentials to us which colonists on RimWorld lack. Bins, for example, are an integral part of life in a human home, yet RimWorld doesn't have them. Here are a few:

Bins - A 1x1 dumping stockpile item which holds 200 of any resource at any given time. They also, when placed near a cooker/butcher table, give a 10% to the speed and (if applicable) quality of the end product.

Clock - A decorative item, like a plant pot. Gives a slightly lower environment boost than a plant pot.

Computer - A joy item, only accessible by research, which colonists can use 1 at a time. Gives a large joy boost.
