Software requirements?

I normally use Lubuntu but Rimworld lags quite a bit so I downloaded Windows and did a fresh install on in its own partition. I downloaded rimworld and it crashes instantly so I know I'm missing something. I searched the website and forums and can't find software requirements anywhere.
