Ive uploaded a screenshot with how it looks like, it occurs when i close and restart the game while being in dev mode so i think it might just be a setting. It seems to carry over to all save files and its kinda annoying to look at. Can anyone tell me how i can remove it?
Thanks in advance  :)

a few people have reported this but we have never really been able to pin point it and it seems to fix itself over time.

Can I ask what your computer specs are? and what OS youre running?

Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit SP1
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
4,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. G41MT-ES2L
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 5570
Running the latest build.

From what i can tell the issue never occurs mid-game, only when i restart the game and only when dev mode is enabled (not enough plays to be 100% certain about the dev mode though)

Hope it helps.

Do you happen to visit the "mods" page in your start up process? Weird things can happen if you visit that and DONT quit the game after before starting a new map.

No i have not visited the mods page nor do i have any mods installed.
The only option i use in dev mode is toggling "draw fog"
I just noticed its not just the colonists but also trees and plants. (only in grow zone)
It does not affect wandering colonists from other factions.
It looks like the game is forcing them as top layer above anything else.

like i said people have had this issue but we've never tracked it down. Drivers up to date for GFX card?

Yes drivers are up to date and the problem isn't always occurring.
Deleting preferences seems to be a temporary fix. Afraid that's all i know.
The game still is very playable its just a minor nuisance.
Guess its waiting for more reports before you have enough data.
Thanks for all the quick responses. :)
