I mean, at least it kinda gives away the knowledge that there's an angry mechanoid in there. Spoiling the "surprise greetings" that you would otherwise recieve. Not really a bug but I think it's something that should be noted.

LOL, yup.

But it should be an "easy" fix: Any pawn in an Undiscovered Location has all motes suppressed.

Why can't we assume that the colonists just hear LOUD SNORING from behind the walls?
I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. - Myself

maybe they're just inactive and have really loud scanners to alert them
they just happen to sound lot like snoring perhaps "hhhhrrr zzziiiiing - hhhrrrr zzziiiiin - hrrr ziiin"
