[mod request] small jobs for prisoners

I'd say mining and hauling is going to be harder to implement (since it doesn't make any sense) but finding out if prisoners could technically clean up their own filth and blood would be interesting.

Yeah I'd say it honestly wouldn't be worth an entire new system for them to have complicated jobs like hauling and mining just because of how it would work to have prisoners do it, wouldn't be worth it pretty much, but cleaning, maybe. Depends.

Already in the game? It is called recruiting prisoners?

eg: How is a prisoner that does colony work any different from a colonist?

ok, rephrase, how about turning the least dangerous prisoner to slaves. free to leave the prison room but not your walls.

But that would be basically the same as just having them as colonists. It would require a more coding to make them work with their restrictions too.

In a12 there are area restrictions. You can already do that, you should try it!

Uh, that doesn't effect prisoners, as prisoners can't leave a single room. So that kind of has no relevance.

Yes, but I was obviously talking about colonist restriction.

OP want's to have "slaves" who only can walk within the walls but not go outside. I only wanted to tell him that it's an unnecessary thing to implement since you can simply make them colonists and then restrict them.

The point of the mod is to make prisoners slaves though, as they won't do anything currently. Colonists aren't really slaves even restricted into areas.

I vote Prison Architect as a feature, which would be better than the game. . . Prison Architect is just prison stuff...so it'd be fun to have prison architect in rimworld as a feature because rimworld also has rimworld stuff. Plus, you can work prisoners...let them have a mental break...throw them in solitary till they recover...then repeat. With relationships being expanded upon and the possibility for colonist to commit crimes, you can lock them up for X amount of time. . .

Problem with prisoners-workers, is that u dont let a prisoner go wandering around freely.
U can put em in a mine or a quarry, for instance, but Rimworld has no prolonged resource spots (unless this mod adds some).
The only thing i can think of, is to make em cut stone blocks (or any other low quality work) in a confined place.
